Costa Rica Coop de Tarrazú Coffee; A Bright, Naturally Sweet Coffee from the Los Santos Region
At Highwood Coffee, we love coffees that tell a story; not only through flavour, but through the people and communities behind every cup.
Our newest roast comes from Coop de Tarrazú, located in Costa Rica’s famous Los Santos coffee-growing region. This cooperative represents more than 4,500 smallholder coffee farmers working together to produce high-quality coffee while supporting responsible farming practices.
For coffee lovers in Calgary looking for a fresh roasted coffee with a clean, bright flavour profile, this Costa Rica coffee is a perfect example of what makes specialty coffee exciting.
About Coop de Tarrazú
The Los Santos region is known for producing some of Costa Rica’s most respected coffees. The high elevations, rich volcanic soils, and ideal growing conditions help create coffees with incredible clarity and sweetness.
Coop de Tarrazú has focused on sustainable coffee production for many years and has maintained Rainforest Alliance certification for over a decade, supporting environmentally responsible farming practices.
By working together through the cooperative model, thousands of small coffee farmers can share resources, improve quality, and bring their coffee to customers around the world.
