Shop update
Hello Coffee friends.
Quick update and notes about the website. First off thanks for visiting!
Sorry we’re currently out of small bags (340g). We plan to order some to arrive this fall in time for the scouts fundraiser.
Firefox browsers are not working on the site. We’ve talked to squarespace and they don’t have any information for us other than to clear the cache. Please use chrome or safari and make sure they’re up to date.
Coffee bag dates. We have two devices that we date our bags with. Bag sealer with date embossed. We use this as much as we can but sometimes it’s not available when we’re roasting. So we use a printer and print on the back of the bag. Unfortunately it prints in yellow and it’s “not” amazing on black bags. If there is any question on roast date please email us and we’ll be happy to clarify. We do not roast more until we’re sold out. Faster we sell the more often we roast. Mountain roast is usually no more than 3 weeks old.
Deliveries. We’ve kinda fallen back in to delivered within about 24-72 hours. However we think we’ll get back in to actual delivery days for each quadrant to save on some gas money. However haven’t quite organized it yet. Likely
We’ll be editing subscriptions for sw,nw,se,ne orders to land on a specific day. all non subscription orders will be adjusted to a specific day. Ideally delivered in about 72 hours. Orders over 100km(round trip) will be posted via Canada post unless multiple orders to the same place ie Airdrie, Okotoks
More news when it comes will be on a new page soon called Coffee News!
PS we still ship coffee across Canada just email us your order and we’ll get it set up. we’ll invoice you then mail off anywhere Canada post delivers. sales@highwoodcoffee.ca
Small Brands, Big Impact: Canadians' Shift Towards Sustainable and Ethical Products
Canadians are increasingly turning away from big brands and towards smaller, locally-based companies like Highwood Coffee. This shift reflects a desire for greater transparency, sustainability, and ethical sourcing practices in the products they buy. By supporting independent businesses, consumers are not only enjoying better quality products, but also contributing to a more equitable and sustainable food system.
