Liam is likely Highwood coffee’s first ever customer. He’s been tasting our coffee since we started experimenting with a popcorn popper in 2018. We’d send him coffee to Edmonton and he’d kindly tell us to try again. Since we recently started only buying South American coffee he’s been telling us about his lucky and unlucky finds from Alberta and BC. usually Ethiopian roasts. So for this coffee we went to our consultant and asked what he had in green stock from Ethiopia. It was this. So It’s been roasted up and is very nice. It has the usual tea like Ethiopia style. We have tried it as a pour over and iced so far with very good results. Liam might want to try some more so keep your eyes peeled for another batch.

The Kochere mill, owned by Matewos Ersemo and his family, has a significant positive impact on local farmers in the region and shares the same socially and environmentally responsible focus as Highwood Coffee. Creating meaningful relationships one cup at a time.
